"With the Sahara Desert advancing towards us [Hausa-Fulani], no one can chase us away from Southern Nigeria" - Buhari

With  the Sahara Desert advancing towards us, no one can chase us [Hausa-Fulani] away from Southern Nigeria - Buhari
After his high level meeting with the top echelon of the Hausa-Fulani oligarchy, General Muhammadu Buhari has come out gun blazing! Threatening the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), for daring to push for the restoration of Biafra Republic. Buhari vowed to do everything possible to keep Nigeria as one, even if it means committing mass suicide.

Fulani Terrorism: Somnolent Buhari runs to his village in Daura to restrategise with his people

“For Nigeria to divide now, it is better for all of us to jump into the sea and get drowned.”
Buhari disclosed this at the palace of the Emir of Katsina on Monday in his recent visit to his home state. According to him it was rather unfortunate that “recently, some people who were not even born then are saying they want to divide Nigeria”. A reference to IPOB and other Biafra restoration groups.

Buhari inadvertently, disclosed the reason Fulani terrorist have been invading Biafran communities and other communities in the Southern Nigeria. According to him, the Sahara Desert is advancing towards the northern region posing serious threat of desertification. As a result, they will depend on the southern region for survival.

“With the way Sahara [Desert] is advancing, with Boko Haram, growing number of people and uncertainty over rainfall, in a land where we fought civil war leading to the death of about two million, it would be foolhardy for someone to just say he would chase us away. So where do we go?”.

He opined that the Biafra-Nigeria civil war was fought to make sure Nigeria remained as one for the survival of the Northern region.

“I always say the civil war was fought for the unity of Nigeria because as at the time we have not even discovered oil let alone enjoying it and we must not also forget that about two million people were killed”.  This is also an obvious lie. Oil was discovered in Oloibiri in 1958 and Nigeria started exploiting oil from 1959. The war was fought between 1967-70. So what is Buhari saying?

Buhari vowed that his administration would do all that is within his powers to ensure the continuous existence of Nigeria as a peaceful and one united entity.

Earlier in an his address, the Emir of Katsina, Abdulmumini Kabir accused the immediate past administration of Goodluck Jonathan for abandoning the contract for dredging of River Niger. Emir Kabir noting that “inland water way is the wealth of the nation and these people don’t want it here”. He urged residents especially the hausa-fulani to intensify prayers for Buhari.
