There is palpable tension in Nigeria as the dreaded Niger Delta Avengers, which has almost brought Nigeria's crude oil production to its knees have threatened to hit International Oil Companies operating in the region very hard. At the expiration of their two weeks ultimatum, the Avengers threatened that something big is about to happen.
They released the statement through their Twitter handle, which reads "To the IOC's, Indigenous Oil Companies and Nigerian Military. Watch out something big is about to happen and it will shock the whole world."

In earlier tweets, the Niger Delta Avengers condemned elements from their region participating in a Niger Delta stakeholders meeting holding in Abuja.
The Avengers also stated that successfully blew up a major NNPC trunkline for gas and crude near Warri, which was heavily guarded by Nigerian army.
