Faced with the imminent crumbling of Nigeria's oil revenue and subsequent collapse of economy and eventual disintegration of Nigeria, 'General' Muhammadu Buhari secretly met with Nigeria's ex President, Dr Goodluck Jonathan to beg him to interceded in the ongoing crisis in the Niger Delta and and Biafra.

The trent reports that Jonathan visited the Presidential Villa where he held a closed door meeting with Buhari on Thursday night.

According to an authoritative source, Jonathan and Buhari had a private conversation in the presidential villa at about 9pm on June 2, 2016. The same day that the president backed out of his trip to Ogoni in Rivers state to flag off the clean up of the land devastated by years of oil exploration and spills.

Buhari was terrified from embarking on the much hyped visit to Ogoni, after he received threats from militant groups in the area.

The prospects of his getting killed had sent cold jitters up his spine and he is looking for every opportunity to restore peace in the boiling country.

According to the source the meeting was cordial and the matters discussed by the two leaders was not disclosed, even to aides of Buhari.

Since he assumed office, Buhari had treated Jonathan with disdain. He had carried on with impunity and reckless nepotism, and marginalisation of the South East and South South political zones of Nigeria, while protecting the interest of his ethnic Hausa-Fulani people. Only few weeks ago attempts by Buhari to arrest Jonathan and embarrassed him forced Jonathan to temporary exile in Ivory Coast. Buhari changed his mind to embarrass Jonathan when Niger Delta Avengers attacks intensified.
