Buhari's bodyguards grumble over non payment of allowances

Nigeria's security operatives attached to the State House Abuja comprising no fewer than 95 presidential bodyguards are reportedly grumbling over the non-payment of 13-month special allowance, DailyGlobeWatch reliably gathered.

These include the Department of Security Service (DSS), the Nigerian Police Force (NPF), officers of the Nigerian Army, , the Federal Fire Service, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and the National Intelligence Agency (NIA).

Our source a worker at the State House lamented that President Muhammadu Buhari since assuming office on May 29, 2015, has refused to pay them their entitlements otherwise known as Risk Cautious Allowance (RCA).

The worker revealed to DailyGlobeWatch on condition of anonymity that the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan did comparatively better by promptly paying each of the senior security personnel at the Villa N30,000; and the junior ones, N25,000 as monthly special allowance.

Lamenting further he said they are just there securing the nation's seat of power at great risk with nothing to justify the risk they take and wonder why they could be owed their RCA under the administration of President Buhari, a retired general.
