IPOB must now begin preparations for  a Biafran shadow government
Having fought this battle of self-determination for a long time and with 'General' Muhammadu Buhari pointedly telling Biafrans to go, so he can rehabilitate Nigeria, the time has now come for the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) to start the preparations for the establishment of a shadow Biafran government.

A shadow government, government-in-waiting or government in exile is usually established when a country is about to gain independence from a hostile country or expected assume the mantle of leadership after an election.

With strong evidence pointing towards the fact that Biafra Republic will soon emerge, it is now apt that s shadow Biafran government should be put in place immediately without delay.

At the moment, the present crop of politicians in Biafra have been tainted by Nigeria, and cannot be expected to play active role in the Biafran government. Only a few can be used to propel the emerging Biafran Republic to the lofty heights we are working towards. Therefore, it is pertinent that  a vacuum of leadership should not be allowed at the independence of Biafra so that such bad eggs would not seize the opportunity to hijack the Biafran government.

It is rather ironic that despite having produced intellectuals and leaders of various professions globally recognised, Biafran states are being controlled by political touts such as Rochas Okorocha and murderers such as Willie Obiano.

To this end, the IPOB must provide the template for the shadow Biafran government. The template should clearly show the structure of the various autonomous provinces of Biafra and how they will be run.  IPOB should also without delay open a call for all Biafrans around the world to provide their blueprint (for appraisal) for the development of any sector of interests to them that would form the core Biafran government ministries.

The producer of the best and achievable template for each sector would head the sector/ministry, while others would be co opted into the ministries board to assist in the development of the sector.

Key among these sectors include (but not limited to): Health, Education and Culture, Agriculture and Food Security, Works and Public Services, Natural Resources Development,  Energy, Science and Research, Technology and Engineering,  Economy and Business, Judiciary, Defence, Security and Internal Policing, Environmental Management,  and Rural Development.

The time has come for Biafrans to show Nigeria how to build and govern a nation.

Perhaps, Ahiara Declaration of 1969 has to be dusted up once again to kickstart the Biafran government.
