Boko Haram: Twin explosions shake Jos

Two explosions on Sunday night ripped through Jos, the Plateau State capital.

Death toll is not yet known but expected to be significant.

A PREMIUM TIMES correspondent reports that the first explosion occurred at Bauchi road, just before the University of Jos main campus, while the second explosion occurred around Yantaya, Nasarawa Gwon area, both in Jos North Local Government Area of the state.

The News Agency of Nigeria later reported that Tafsir (Islamic sermon session) was ongoing around the scene of the second explosion.

The twin explosions occurred hours after a suicide bomber killed at least six people in a church in Potiskum in Yobe State.

The police in the state could not be reached for comments at the time of publishing this report.
