Obasanjo seeks Orosanye from EFCC den. Emplores Buhari's intervention
Nigeria's former leader Olusegun Obasanjo is seeking the intervention of General Muhammadu Buhari for the release of former Head of Service, Steve Orosanye from EFCC detention. Orasanye is embroiled in billions of naira corruption investigation by Nigeria's frontline anti corruption agency the Economic and Finanacial Crime Commssion (EFCC). Credible reports indicates that Orosanye is still in detention in EFCC den and may be held till Monday.


Sahel Standards reports that this has made basanjo to wade into the matter. Obasanjo it was reported is imploring Buhari's intervention in the matter.


Orosanye is purported to be Obasanjo's prefered candidate for the position of Secretary to the Federal Government in the Buhari government.

It is not clear yet whether OBJ has successfully contacted the president on Orosanye’s matter.
