There are indications that the cold war between Olusegun Obasanjo and Muhammadu is deepening.
Obasanjo's attack dog Dr Oby Ezekwesili for the first time openly criticized Buhari over his anti-Igbo comments.
Ezekwesili had been cheer-leading for the All Progressives Congress (APC) during the campaign days days using the ruse of the BringBackOurGirls campaign to castigate Goodluck Jonathan who blatantly overlooked her in all the appointments he made.
The former Minister of Education, who had been hoping for a ministerial appointment may have lost hope as a result of the cold war brewing between his godfather Obasanjo and Buhari.
According to Breaking Times, Ezekwesili on Friday slammed Buhari over his comments in the United States suggesting that the core northern part of Nigeria who gave him 97% of their votes will be better treated than those that gave him 5% - a reference to Biafrans.
Ezekwesili took to her Twitter page on Friday stating that “the primary duty of EVERY Government is to improve the quality of life of ALL citizens regardless of their political preferences. #ThatsAll"

It emerged over the week that Obasanjo and Buhari have fallen apart, when Buhari indicated his interest in probing the Halliburton bribery scandal, which Obasanjo has been fingered as one of the beneficiaries.
