Southern Kaduna Christians kick against El Rufai's Islamic cabinet |
Southern Kaduna Christians and other stakeholders of the state are kicking against Governor Nasir El-Rufai's Islamic tilted appointments and cabinet. The Union reports that almost all non Islmaic groups in the state, including Kabilu Forum and the Kaduna South Local Government chapter of the All Progressive Congress (APC), angst over El-Rufai actions, describing the political appointment so far made by the governor as lopsided.
Already the state leadership of APC have complaint bitterly of not been carried along by the administration of governor El-rufai in appointment so far made even as Southern Kaduna Christian indigenes decried marginalization.
Kabilu Forum otherwise known as other tribes and Christians in Kaduna State in a press statement penultimate Friday said they have watched with dismay that Governor El-Rufai did not keep to his campaign promises of been just, fair and respectful to the differences in tribes, religion and political affiliations in the state if given the mandate.
In the release signed by the chairman and secretary of the forum, Hon Abbas B. Madaki and Hon. Bala Bulus stated that El-Rufai did not keep to his campaign promises in area of appointment into different positions from the LG since assumption of office. According to the forum kabilu/ Christians which cut across 7 wards of the 13 wards in the LG voted for all the people elected from the area in 2015.
They however expressed dismay that all the three people appointment from LG by El- rufai were those from Tudun Wada only, a place that is hundred percent Muslim.
Christians from the Southern part of the state have also expressed concern over the appointments so far made by governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, saying it favours only the Muslims from the northern part of the state. They complained that the appointments made so far by the governor were lopsided and was not done in the best interest of the entire state
