After clipping Tinubu's wings, Osinbajo is next. His impeachment is only a matter of time

After clipping Tinubu's wings, Osinbajo is next. His impeachment is only a matter of time
Yesterday forces propped up by the Northern Oligarchy thoroughly clipped the wings of Boa Tinubu, the self proclaimed leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The humiliation that has been meted out to Tinubu and his Yoruba cohorts may be forcing them to plan their exit from the APC. But it is already late! The Northern Oligarchy has fully been instituted at the helm of affairs of Nigeria through the myopic and parochial interests of the Yorubas.  There is nothing Tinubu and co could do now that would change it - except start plotting to secede from Nigeria.

The forces arrayed against Tinubu are so powerful that they were able to stop him from attending the all important APC National Executive Council (NEC) meeting, called to sort out the mess in the APC house of shit.

Bola Tinubu and Bisi Akande, one of his acolytes and a former interim chairman of the party stayed away from the meeting in Abuja. No reason was given yesterday for the absence of the duo, but their absence had fueled speculation that an end to the crisis over the leadership positions in the National Assembly might not be in sight. Party insiders have hinted that both Tinubu and Akande stayed away because they are unhappy over the sharing of leadership positions.

A member of the National Working Committee (NWC) who was at the meeting said the former Lagos State governor was aware that there were plans to humiliate him and his henchmen.

“Tinubu knew that some people were prepared to fight him. He would have been humiliated by some people”, the official said.

He disclosed that the earlier arrangement was to engage him in a brawl and compel him to leave the venue of the meeting in anger. “Those who were to humiliate him were on ground but his absence saved the day”, the APC chieftain added.

With the consolidation of power by the Northern Oligarchy through the hijacking of the National Assembly, which Tinubu had plotted to takeover, the Yorubas have lost out completely.

With this consolidation, Professor Osinbajo's job is on the line. Tinubu had planted Osinbajo as Buhari's vice, with the hope that he could control the National through which he can force Buhari out of office.

In the heat of the campaign this conspiracy was an open secret,  with the likes of Governor Ayo Fayose hinting that the Yorubas were banking on a Yar'adua treatment to ride to power. Although the Northern Oligarchy brushed this aside, they are obviously working to make sure it doesn't happen.

Osinbajo's impeachment is just a matter of time. That way the Oligarchy will ensure that if something untoward happens to Buhari, the north will not completely lose out.
