French tourist shot dead in a bush in Ebonyi State

A French tourist was shot dead and his wife injured in a suspected robbery in southeast Nigeria, police and the French embassy said Thursday.

"The incident happened two days ago in Ebonyi state. The couple were French tourists and they were camped in the bush when they were attacked," national police spokesman Emmanuel Ojukwu told
