The Ikwerre sellout and self appointed aide to General Muhammadu Buhari and former Governor of Rivers state, Mr Rotimi Amaechi is quickly losing political relevance in Nigeria. Reports reaching The Biafran was that loquacious Amaechi who used state funds to fund Buhari's campaign was dropped at the last minute as member of Buhari's entourage to the G-7 meeting in Germany.

Buhari left Nigeria to attend the G7 Summit in Bavaria, Germany on Sunday. According to a statement by his spokesman, Garba Shehu, he was accompanied by Governor Kashim Shettima of Borno State, former Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola, and former Chief of Army Staff, Abdulrahman Dambazau and other officials.

The Biafran gathered that Amaechi was dropped on the advise of some Northern elders who were uncomfortable with his unabashed pestering of President Buhari since he was elected. They claimed that a man like Amaechi who betrayed his own brother (former President Jonathan), can do anything to get relevance and the better Buhari do away with him the better for the new President.

Amaechi had turned a driver, drummer boy, clown and aide-de-camp, all in the quest to curry favour from Buhari and the northern oligarchy.

According to a political analyst, "Amaechi spent over N58billion on Buhari's APC primaries and the Presidential election and one wonders why he will be dropped at this time after putting that efforts to ensure that Buhari emerges the President of Nigeria?"
