Is Kumuyi daring Radio Biafra and IPOB by his planned crusade in Aba? |
Disclosing this at the Deeper Life campground in Aba, Abia state, Overseer of Deeper Life, Pastor Damian C. Umeh said the crusades would take place in eight locations in the state from June 30 to July 5, 2015.
However, Kumuyi may be on a collision course with the IPOB who see Yoruba-based Pentecostal churches as money-making organisations used to siphon money from Biafrans. Furthermore recent xenophobic attacks of Biafrans by the Yoruba's has deteriorated the relationship between Biafrans and Yorubas.

Kumuyi's hard-line strict restrictions of the members of his church to shun materialism was brought to ridicule when his son heading a branch of his church in Jamaica went contrary to to the churches dictates during his wedding.
Kumuyi's second son, John, and his wife Love wedded in Jamaica on June 15th, 2013 and the wife, Love, decked in attire different from the acceptable standard set for Deeper Life members by the church - a simple white cotton dress with no accessory, and makeup free.
According to Umeh, the arrangement of bringing the crusades to everybody’s neighbourhood was a departure from the past when the crusade was held only in a location and it was aimed at making it easy for people to go and receive God’s word, power, salvation, healing and visitations.
Describing Pastor Kumuyi as a man God has used in many parts of the world and Nigeria in particular to bless multitudes in various aspects of life, the state overseer said it was now the turn of Abia people to receive their own blessings from God.
Pastor Umeh emphasised that this year’s crusades with the theme, “The Great Day of His Power to Remember” would as usual be woven around the church’s three-prong ministry of preaching, teaching and healing.
The crusades which begins at Arochukwu township stadium on June 30, at 5:00pm, moves to Local government field, Ebem Ohafia on July 1, at 6:00am. On the same day, at 5:00pm it would be the turn of the people of Isuikwuato area at Uturu secondary school.
The state overseer hinted that Thursday, July 2, would be the turn of the people of Ikwuano at Methodist High School at 6:00am and Umuahia at Event Centre, former Umuahia Main Market by 5:00pm.
On Friday, July 3, the train would move over to Ovuokwu Secondary School at 6:00am and Obehie Central School, Obehie at 5:00pm while the grand finale would be at the Deeper Life campground near the flyover, Umugo, Aba on Saturday, July 4 at 6:00am
