You have no MANDATE to speak for Biafrans - IPOB excoriates Okorocha and co

The Coordinator of all Coordinators (COC) of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Dr Clifford Iroanya has dismissed via Radio Biafra broadcast the emergency meeting to be the convened by the Governors of South East states on Sunday Nov. 22, 2015 at Enugu over the increasing agitation for self-determination  by the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB).




The United States based-Iroanya stated that the so called meeting is meaningless as Ohaneze NdiIgbo does not in anyway represent the whole Biafran people and warned that the strategy of the "Igbonization" of Biafra as used by Nigeria should be neglected and dismissed. He branded them rather as Ohaneze Ndi-Ochi (Thieves) not Ohaneze NdiIgbo.

He also questioned Okorocha (who he addressed as an Hausa man whose father is from Plateau State bearing Igbo name) who said that they will discuss on how to use peace to engender development in the south east, asking him where he has been since his first tenure in office to develop the area?

Dr Clifford described the so called leaders as self-appointed leaders who in no way uphold the true mandate of the Biafran people.

Also speaking during the broadcast, Mr Uche Mefor the Assistant Director of IPOB stated that Ohaneze NdiIgbo was not seen anywhere on the streets with the protesters in solidarity with Biafrans plea for their freedom but from no where have sharply risen up on hearing that the Nigerian government is calling for dialogue. He described them as mere contractors selfishly trying to sell the interest of all Biafrans.

Gov. Rochas Okorocha of Imo State had said at the end of their meeting in Enugu on Tuesday that the forum needed to ensure lasting peace in the zone and that the governors resolved to consult widely with Ohaneze Ndi Igbo, the apex socio-cultural organisation of the zone, traditional rulers and development unions.
