Abia forest mass grave: How Buhari's secret police lied against IPOB

Abia forest mass grave: How Buhari's secret police lied against IPOB

In a very clumsy attempt to tarnish the image of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), the Nigeria's secret police, the Department of State Services (DSS) alleged that it has discovered mass graves in the Umuanyi Forest near Aba in Abia State, where IPOB members have been burying kidnapped victims. According to the report published by the highly compromised Punch newspaper, the DSS claimed it has discovered 55 shallow graves.

A statement issued by DSS spokesperson, Mr. Tony Opuiyo, in Abuja on Saturday read, “Service has uncovered the heinous role played by members of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra in the abduction/kidnap of five Hausa-Fulani residents, namely Mohammed Gainako, Ibrahim Mohammed, Idris Yakubu, and Isa Mohammed Rago at Isuikwuato LGA in Abia State.

“The abducted men were later discovered at the Umuanyi Forest, Abia State, where they were suspected to have been killed by their abductors and buried in shallow graves, amidst 50 other shallow graves of unidentified persons.

“Arrests and investigation conducted so far revealed that elements within the IPOB carried out this dastardly action.”

This obviously is a lie. How did the DSS who are supposedly still investigating the discovery know the act was carried out by the IPOB. Notice also that whereas the DSS alleged that "five Hausa-Fulani residents" were kidnapped they were only able to name four persons - how to identify a clumsy lie.

It was also glaring in the report that although the DSS reported 55 graves it was quick to identify only four Hausa-Fulani men. Who are the remaining 51 persons?

Obviously Biafrans!

Despite the wide reportage of the various killings of Biafrans, the DSS has never deemed it fit to investigate and identify the culprits.

The DSS obviously is clutching at straws in its effort to raise false evidence against Nnamdi Kanu, who they are illegally holding. They are desperate to put a tag of terrorism on Biafrans and begin mass arrests of Biafra nationalists.

It is on record that the IPOB has never carried out any violent action. All its protests have remained peaceful. They IPOB has rather been in the receiving end of violent acts, threats and intimidation perpetrated by Nigerian security forces including the DSS.
