Oba of Lagos apologises to Igbo-Speaking Biafrans over genocidal threat. COWARDLY blames it on alcohol

Oba of Lagos apologises to Igbo-Speaking Biafrans over genocidal threat. COWARDLY  blames it on alcohol

The embattled Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu, has been brought to his knees over his genocidal comments to drown Igbo-speaking Biafrans in the Lagos Lagos. Faced with the prospects of arrest and prosecution at The Hague, the Biafran-hating Oba decided to apologise. This was a sharp contrast to his earlier stance, which was to deny he never made such comments. However, with the release of audio and video evidence corroborating earlier reports the Oba of Lagos capitulated.

According to Nigerian News, Akiolu  issued a personal statement regarding his recent threat. The cowardly Oba blamed his misbehaviour on alcohol.

“I want to offer my unequivocal apologies to the Igbo people for the things I said. I am sorry.

"I was drunk. I was drinking some Orijin just before the meeting. It was my 1st time, it was so sweet, I did not know it would be so intoxicating. I have ordered that all Orijin bottles and cans should be thrown into the Lagoon Instead”.
Typical!

The alcohol probably gave him the courage to vomit what he has been holding in his heart.

Akiolu desecrated the throne when he chose to dabble into politics. He singled out Igbo-speaking Biafrans in Lagos for a kill. Speaking at a meeting with Igbo-speaking Biafran leaders in the state, the monarch stated:
“On Saturday, if anyone of you goes against Ambode who I picked, that is your end. If it doesn’t happen within seven days, just know that I am a bastard and it is not my father who gave birth to me.
By the grace of God, I am the owner of Lagos for the time beingOn Saturday, if anyone of you, I swear in the name of God, goes against my wish that Ambode will be the next governor of Lagos State, the person is going to die inside this water. I’m not ready to beg you. Nobody knew how I picked Ambode. Jimi (Agbaje) is my blood relation and I told him that he cannot be governor in Lagos for now. The future belongs to God. I am not begging anybody, but what you people cannot do in Onitsha, Aba or anywhere, don’t do it here. If you do what I want, Lagos will continue to be prosperous for you. If you go against my wish, you will perish in the water.”

Now that the Oba has admitted making such threats, he should be made to face the law. Despite his aparent half-hearted apology, Akiolu may try to use some street urchins and miscreants in Lagos to destroy Biafran businesses and investments.  It is high time people are thought to respect other peoples rights.

Inspector General of Police, IGP Suleiman A. Abba, has been given 48 hours to investigate the death threat issued to Igbo-speaking Biafrans in Lagos by the paramount ruler of the state in connection with who to vote for in this Saturday’s gubernatorial election. The Hausa-Fulani-born IGP yesterday declined to investigate the issue stating that the Oba of Lagos has denied making such genocidal statement. This is despite ample audio and video evidence clearly showing Oba Akiolu threaten to drown every Igbo-speaking Biafran in the Lagos Lagoon.

The International Society for Civil Liberties & the Rule of Law (Intersociety) gave the ultimatum this morning in a statement issued from its Onitsha headquarters. “We therefore give the IGP 48 hours to clarify the statement credited to him as quoted. Arrest and investigate the referenced Oba Rilwan Akiolu. Failure to do this as demanded will leave us with the option of dragging the stranger-Oba, the Government of Lagos State and its APC as well as the IGP to the International Criminal Court in Hague, The Netherlands.”

Igbo think tank Aka Ikenga has reported Oba of Lagos, Alhaji Rilwanu Akiolu, to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and security agencies over his threat
