We are set to sack Rochas- Okewulonu |
The Director General of Hon. Emeka Ihedioha campaign organization,
Chief Chris Okewulonu has reaffirmed the readiness of his organization
and the PDP to sack Governor Rochas Okorocha, the incumbent governor
of Imo State from office at the governorship election slated for 11th
of April, 2015.
Speaking to journalists at his office, Chief Okewulonu categorically
stated that his organization, the party and the people of Imo State
are poised to effect a change in the government of Imo State to stop
the monumental fraud, deceit and lies of Governor Rochas Okorocha.
Okewulonu who described the government of Rochas as darkness for
the state stated that the government of Rochas is monsterous and
smelly adding that his government represents ills, corruption, and
intimidation.
He reminded Imo people that the first public task of Governor
Okorocha was his brief appointment as the chairman of the National
Airspace Management Authority (NAMA) by former President Olusegun
Obasanjo who also publicly and unceremoniously sacked him owning to a
lot of irregularities that were linked to him.
Okewulonu said it is unfortunate that Governor
Okorocha hoodwinked the people who believed he was sent from heaven and
short-changed them by building mansions, which he said are as big as the
Buckingham palace all over the state in only three years of being
governor .
Okewulonu urged the people of the state to vote for Chief
Ihedioha who he said will rule the state with utmost respect for the
rule of law and accountability, which he said is a deviation from the
Okorocha’s style of leadership, centered only on his
family.
He added that every vote for Chief Ihedioha is a vote for the rapid
development of the state going by chief Ihedioha’s track record of
competence and experience.
He dismissed the allegation by the Imo State caucus of the All Progressives Congress (APC) that the PDP intends to rig
the election adding that it is a sign of failure as the PDP is already
winning in the state as evidenced by the just concluded presidential
election, where the party won eleven out of the thirteen national
assembly seats in the state.
He rather accused governor Okorocha for plotting to rig the election
with thugs and urchins with who he intends to cause mayhem and
violence during the election and asked security operatives to be
mindful of the above.
He added that the party is still intact and does not miss the few
individuals who decamped to the APC, insisting that they are not
strong party men.
