No restructuring! Arewa Consultative Forum opposes implementation of 2014 confab report
Northern socio-cultural group, Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF), yesterday opposed implementation of the report of the 2014 national conference.
ACF said its opposition to the report was because the North was not adequately represented at the conference compared to the number of representatives from other parts of the country.

Agbakoba rejects restructuring, backs Nnamdi Kanu
Prominent Igbo lawyer and former President of the Nigerian Bar Association, Dr. Olisa Agbakoba (SAN), on Tuesday condemned the call for the country’s restructuring, describing it as a political calculation by the elite to grab power in 2019.

Rather, Agbakoba justified the demand for self-determination by the Nnamdi Kanu-led Indigenous People of Biafra, which is seeking a referendum to achieve same.

Yoruba leaders from all walks of life on Friday converged at the International Conference Centre, at the Nigeria's premier University University of Ibadan and insisted without further delay on the restructuring of Nigeria, failure to do so they say pose nothing but a grave danger to Nigeria's fragile unity.

Nigeria is DOOMED! Only restructuring ‘ll save Nigeria from breakup — Ikokwu, Uko, others 
Second Republic Politician, Chief Guy Ikokwu and founder of the Igbo Youth Movement, IYM, Evangelist Elliot Uko, have justified the ever increasing clamour for the restructuring of the country, saying it is the only measure that can save Nigeria from looming disintegration. Ikokwu, who is also a member of the Ime obi (inner caucus of Ohanaeze Ndigbo) said the renewed call for the restructuring of the country “is a new reawakening for some parts of the country and people who did not see the need for restructuring of Nigeria. Unless we restructure the country we cannot achieve economic diversification and growth.
