The O’odua Nationalist Coalition ,(ONAC) has called on Yoruba people to prepare for their own sovereign nation in the face of the lingering problems and conflict built around the national question that has stunted the growth of Nigeria for over a century.
This conflict has again reared its head, 50 years after a civil war that inflicted pain and misery on the Yoruba people apart from distorting the development plan of the late Chief Obafemi Awolowo for the South West.

Yoruba leaders from all walks of life on Friday converged at the International Conference Centre, at the Nigeria's premier University University of Ibadan and insisted without further delay on the restructuring of Nigeria, failure to do so they say pose nothing but a grave danger to Nigeria's fragile unity.

OPC goes after Oba of Benin
The Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC) has accused Benin palace chiefs of distorting Oduduwa history, saying their comments were capable of triggering discord between the Yoruba and people of the Benin Kingdom.

The group also said the research being relied on by the chiefs to deny the relationship between people of the two races lacked credibility.

The Yoruba nation are apparently plotting General Muhammadu Buhari's resignation to pave way for Yoruba-born Prof Yemi Osinbajo.

This plot was revealed by the vocal governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose. Fayose muted this today  when he asked Buhari to resign and "hand over to Vice President Yemi Osinbajo” if he cannot find solutions to the economic woes of the country.

Fed up with his people’s unwarranted anti-Igbo or anti-Biafra sentiments, Falase expressed his frustration and dislike at such mentality from South Western Nigeria.

Ganiyu Adams, the National Coordinator of the Oodu’a Peoples Congress (OPC), a leading military wing of the Yoruba socio-politcal group has issued a warning to Nigerians on gratification of gods and deities.

He said government and citizens risk disastrous incidents if they continued to do away with deities associated which certain regions, states, lands, family and resources.

After several denials by the Oba’s palace on the reported death of the Ooni of Ife, officials of the palace finally admitted  that Oba Okunade Sijuwade is dead. 

It has however emerged that the initial denial of the death of the Ooni was ruse to allow the Ife community obtain necessary human sacrifice for the burial as stipulated by the barbaric Yoruba custom.

The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF), has berated a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Bisi Akande, for accusing the North of conspiring against Yoruba’s in the current face-off in the party. 

A statement issued on Wednesday by Malam Muhammad Ibrahim, ACF National Publicity Secretary, dismissed Akande’s reported allegations as “disappointing, reckless and unbecoming of an elder statesman.”

The announcement was contained in a statement signed by Haruna Imrana, the director communications, office of the head of civil service of the federation on Thursday, June 25.
