After promising on Sunday to open his facility to about 400 trucks of petroleum products” because “of to the immense hardship witnessed by Nigerians following the suspension of loading activities in all depots, Ifeanyi Ubah's Capital Oil and Gas is currently selling fuel in Nnewi, Anambra State an N100 per litre and in Lagos  at N87.

Nigeria has been hit by an unprecedented fuel crisis that has grounded  her economy due to an obvious act of sabotage by a cabal of oil marketers. Banks, telecommunications firms and media organisations limiting their hours of operations.

Ubah's actions may have forced the cabal to call of the strike. The Senate announced a deal with industry stakeholders to end the strike that led to the crippling scarcity. Chairman of the Senate Committee on Petroleum (Downstream), Senator Magnus Abe, read out the peace agreement. As part of the deal, the Nigerian Association of Road Transport Owners (NARTO) has announced that its members will resume fuel lifting in the next six hours, meaning by this evening.

Similarly, oil industry union NUPENG and PENGASSAN have called off their industrial action, which compounded the situation.
