Lineup of British MPs and United States Congressmen fighting for Biafra 
Members of Parliament of the United Kingdom and Congressmen from the United States lining up in support for the independence of Biafra are swelling by the day.

In the United Kingdom, former acting leader of the Labour Party Harriet Harman  representing Camberwell and Peckham, Harriet Harman, wrote the British government to demand for Nnamdi Kanu's release from illegal detention.

Tom Elliott and Danny Kinahan

A parliamentary motion has been filed by two MPs of the Ulster Unionist Party (UPP), Tom Elliott and Danny Kinahan.


The motion is that this “House recognises the calls for the independence of territories that constituted the Biafran republic.”

“The Biafran issue could be improved with the cooperation of the Nigerian government by offering a referendum; and urges the Foreign and Commonwealth Office to use its diplomatic strength to assist in the resolution of this matter.”


Elliott is a former British army officer and a former leader of the UUP. He is married with two children.

Danny Kinahan
Kinahan is a new member of parliament who was elected at the last election in May this year. Like Elliott, he is a former soldier and is married with four children.

MP Angela Rayner yesterday raised a motion at the parliament against the human rights violation of Biafrans and the illegal detention of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

Rep Dana Rohrabacher 

Dana Tyrone Rohrabacher the U.S. Representative for California's 48th congressional district, has declared his support for the restoration of Biafra Republic. Rohrabacher previously represented the 46th, 45th and 42nd, serving since 1989. He is a member of the Republican Party and chairs the United States House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Europe, Eurasia and Emerging Threats.
