Wike reinstates sacked lecturers and appoints new Chief Judge for Rivers State. Set to probe Amaechi's administration
Soon after being sworn in as the new governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike informed public that he has appointed Justice Daisy Okocha as the Chief Judge of the state. Wike subsequently ordered that all the state courts that has been under lock and key be reopened with immediate effect.
He also announced his decision to reinstate lecturers of the Rivers State University of Science and Technology (UST), sacked by Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi’s governing body.
Wike, had promised to probe the administration of Rotimi Amaechi after being sworn in as the chief executive of the state.
