An Igbo woman has narrated how her experience while her family resided in Kano. According to her, she was not old enough to witness the Biafra-Nigeria war that raged between 1967-1970, but she has tested the bitterness of war in Kano, where her father's pharmacist shop was razed by Arewa youths during the numerous and irrational riots the northern Nigeria is known for.


Living in Kano was hell, she said and when those riots break out, no one knows who be the victim of the Arewa terrorists.
