This move became apparent with the escalation and exaggeration of the security situation in Rivers State. Part of the plan is to sustain the crisis in Rivers State until the rerun election, when Nigerian soldiers will be used to kill more people, just like they recently did in Ogoni.

With these level of crisis in place, Buhari would declare a state of emergency in Rivers State and appointing a military administrator to take charge of the government.
The ball is already rolling, with Rotimi Amaechi and Dakuku Peterside being used to exaggerate the situation on ground. while speaking with Gbenga Aruleba on the continuous killings in Rivers state, during an African Independent Television (AIT) programme, Focus Nigeria, on Friday, Amaechi alleged that the Rivers people were being beheaded, which Boko Haram never did. “The kind of killing now didn’t happen the time I was the governor. Beheading people? How can a human being behead his fellow human being? The people that do it are people in ISIS not even Boko Haram, Boko Haram don’t behead people.

Amaechi's skewed comment was followed by that of his lackey Dr. Dakuku Adol Peterside, who was the APC governorship candidate in the state, who lost to Wike. Working hard to justify his recent appointment as the Director-General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA).
Dakuku in a recent interview, stated what is happening in Rivers state is worse than what is Boko Haram is doing in Borno State - there you have the call for state of emergency!
"We now have more bloodshed in the build up to the National Assembly rerun than we had during the last elections . The indication so far is that if something urgent is not done to stem the orgy of violence, then the violence we experienced during the governorship election will be a joke .
"Governor Wike has no clue on how to tackle the insecurity in Rivers state . This is why the killings and general insecurity is growing geometrically by the day. His dormancy and cluelessness have fueled the speculation all over the state that he is the promoter and sponsor of the political genocide going on in Rivers state. The governor has not taken any step known to me or Rivers citizens to stop the carnage . Rather, he was on radio the other day saying afterall, no prominent politician has been assassinated . I believe all leaders will give account to God for our secret and open actions .
"The security agents are doing their best, but Rivers state security situation has been an extraordinary case, which requires national attention.
"What is currently going on in Rivers is worse than what is going on in Borno state. All hands must be on deck to sincerely and effectively tackle this national security challenge taking place on the soil of our beloved Rivers State."
