DSS Arrest of Nnamdi Kanu Ignites the Push for the Republic of Biafra

DSS Arrest of Nnamdi Kanu Ignites the Push for the Republic of Biafra
The Nigerian government has underestimated the impact of Nnamdi Kanu’s arrest on public peace. They have indirectly propelled Nnamdi Kanu into a rallying cause for people in the South East and South South zones of the country. The story of Kanu’s arrest generated so much reaction by Nigerians both within Nigeria and in the international Community.

On the Africa Business World website, in 24 hours of publication of Kanu’s arrest story, the Statement issued by Igbo World Assembly (IWA) went viral on the internet through the Social Media. Within 24 hours of publishing the story, over 5,500 people (and growing) read the IWA story on Africa Business World website, the story was shared on Twitter by 96 people and was shared on Facebook by 808 people. We have never seen anything like this before.

#NnnamdiKanu: Nigeria QUAKES as IPOB Directorate gives the FINAL order to Biafrans (John 14:15) if. . .

The Biafra movement was the obvious winner of the Government arrest of Nnamdi kanu, and younger generation of Nigerians are obviously not going to tolerate any deemed injustices against them anymore like the generation before them did. One point to add here is that by this action, the younger generations of Nigerians have sent out warnings that they would not pursue the armed conflict route used by the preceding generations. These new generations are very knowledgeable of evolutions in Global communications technology and are technologically savvy through the employment of the internet and social media and have indicated their willingness to take their case to the world leaders. Many messages were sent to world leaders over Kanu’s arrest already and many are pushing for involvement of the United Nations as was the case in South Sudan. There is also a movement for independence for Western Cameroon. That is a feature story for another day. Stay tuned to Africa Business World, we will bring you more when we learn more.
