What Tunji Braithwaite said about Biafra Restoration project |
You cannot use force over a people if they do not want to continue under a system that denies them basic things and their fundamental human rights. Look at what is happening in the United Kingdom and other parts of the world. People have a right to demand self-expression. This advice is not for Buhari alone; we should find ways to reinvent Nigeria in a way that every geopolitical zone will have a sense of belonging. You don’t have a sense of belonging if you are being discriminated against"
A Biafra [Goddy Okeke] responds:
We've known this for a mighty long time. Millions of Igbos have lived in the United States - Nnamdi Azikiwe, Nwafor Orizu, K. O. Mbadiwe all lived in the United States. Igbos were the first Nigerians that opted to study in the United States instead of England. And it's the philosophy of the United States which the Igbos learned in the United States that got Nigeria her independence.
What I'm doing here on Facebook was learned in the United States as well.
We can no longer be part of Nigeria. We've absolutely nothing in common with the north and her peoples. Their mentality, culture, worship, way of being is entirely different from what we are used to. We love the north and we wish her well.
But-
We want to be Free. Period.
