News Daily got the list of 11 Nigeria senior Police officers who were decorated by the Inspector-General of Police on Wednesday. From the names, only one may not be a northerner.

It also appears that 10 out of the 11 promoted are Muslims.

Boko Haram members in Nigerian Police invades Enugu from Kogi: shoots 6, burns shops, cars
There is tension at Ette, a border town in Igboeze North Local Government Area of Enugu State, following the invasion of the area by suspected members of the Police Mobile Force (MOPOL), from Lokoja, the Kogi State capital. 

The invaders are believed to be suspected Boko Haram members embedded in Nigerian Police Force and in the military. The unwarranted attack and the modus operandi points to a Boko Haram instigated attack.

The Anambra State Police Command has released 17 supporters of the director of Radio Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, who were arrested last week.

The command’s Public Relations Officer, Ali Okechukwu, said this while speaking with newsmen in Awka on Monday. Kanu’s supporters were picked up last week at various locations in Awka, the state capital, during solidarity protests. The police spokesperson said the 17 persons comprised 13 females and four males.

In a clear abuse of power and crackdown on freedom of association, the Nigerian Police has confirmed it has arrested some members of the Movement For the Actualization of Sovereign state of Biafra (MASSOB), for celebrating their anniversary mass. According to the Sun, the Zone 9 Police in Umuahia, Abia state capital, said yesterday that it arrested eighteen members of the  MASSOB, who allegedly held the Parish Priest of St Luanga Catholic Church, Opoko in Onitsha, Anambra state, hostage, forcing him to conduct a mass for their 16 year anniversary celebration.

Outrage as Nigeria policeman forces a Biafran woman to breastfeed in public

Outrage is trailing the latest level of barbarism and human rights abuses being committed on a daily basis by Nigerian security forces against Biafrans. This report came out a day after many Biafrans peacefully marching in Onitsha were killed by combined team of Nigerian police and military men.

In the latest incident a policeman was reported to have asked a breastfeeding mother to publicly breastfeed her baby so he can ascertain the baby was hers.

Two persons, suspected to be members of the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, were yesterday, feared dead in Onitsha, Anambra State, while four others, including a policeman, were critically injured in a bloody clash between some MASSOB members and policemen reports The Sunday Vanguard.
