Incredible! Buhari set to establish Maritime University in Lake Chad

Less than two months after the Nigerian Government scrapped a maritime university in Delta State, created by the country’s past administration, the Nigerian Navy has hinted of its plans to establish a new maritime university in the country and a Forward Operation Base (FOB) in Lake Chad.

On 30th August, 2015, Nigerian security forces opened fire at unarmed Biafran civilians evangelising through the streets of Onitsha. Several were wounded with gunshots and at least two members of the Indigenous People of Biafra lost their lives from the incident.

Despite available evidence to show that the Nigerian Navy and police deliberately massacred peaceful and unarmed Biafran protesters Vanguard chose to misform the public on the matter.

Some survivors of the Onitsha Massacre have narrated their account of their encounter with men of the Nigerian Navy and Police.

Already three people are confirmed dead and many more still critically injured from bullet wounds.

In a brashly display of brutality and intimidation of civilians accustomed to the Nigeria's security forces, the Commanding Officer of the Naval School of Finance and Logistics, Owerrinta, Abia state, Navy Captain Simon Ejaro, on Thursday in Aba, ordered at gun point 15 workers of an oil servicing company, Stock Gap Fuels Limited, to drink and swim in muddy water. The incident happened at Elizabeth Avenue, along Aba – Owerri road in the city.

The Nigerian Army and Navy said on Sunday that it had taken over the security of the NNPC pipelines in the Lagos area from the militant Yoruba group Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC), and craved the maximum cooperation of host communities.

Col. Mustapha Anka, the Director, Army Public Relations, 81 Division of the Nigerian Army in Lagos, disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
