The Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr. Chris Ngige, was booed while trying to defend President Muhammadu Buhari’s appointments at a town hall meeting organised by the Federal Government for the South-East in Enugu on Monday.

Senator Chris Ngige has refuted claims that emanated today that he collapsed at the Nigeria's National Assembly. The rumoured collapse of the Dr Ngige, Nigeria's Minister of Labour, shook the National Assembly and the country on Thursday.

However, investigations have revealed  that the former Senator and former Governor of Anambra State, did not step his foot on the premises of the legislature on Thursday.

In continuance with his anti-Igbo stance, General Muhammadu Buhari rejected all Igbo-speaking servants of the Northern Oligarchy who assiduously worked for his emergence. Names such as Ogbonnaya Onu, Rotimi Amaechi, Chris Ngige, who were touted as potential candidates for the post of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) were rejected by Buhari.

At last Senator Chris Ngige, former governor of Anambra State and the arrowhead of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state has met his Waterloo.

Ngige's political demise began with his losing the governorship election conducted in the state 2013 to Governor Willie Obiano. The election clearly showed Ngige's quickly eroding political clout in Anambra State. However, Ngige carried on with an exaggerated sense of popularity until this final humiliation.
