Fashola fails as Nigeria's power supply drops by 624MW in three days.

Fashola fails as Nigeria's power supply drops by 624MW in three days.
The incompetence of the Nigerian Minister of Power, Babatunde Fashola, to effectively manage the sector,  has been demonstrated by the slumping of Nigeria’s power supply  by 623.76 megawatts in three days. This has worsened the rationing that electricity distribution companies have been subjecting consumers to in recent days.

The drop in the country’s electricity generation has caused reduction in load allocation from the national grid to Discos.

Criminal Borrowings: Questions Lagos State Government under Fashola’s watch must answer

Criminal Borrowings: Questions Lagos State Government under Fashola’s watch must answer
On 28th May 2015, we issued a public statement titled: “Out-going Governors & Democratic Governance Accountability In Nigeria: Time For Stock Taking”. The referenced publication of Intersociety became imperative on account of the age-long failure of various democratic tiers and arms of government in Nigeria to give detailed and satisfactory accounts of their governance particularly towards the end of their democratic tenures. InterSociety challenges outgoing governors on accountability: Calls out Fashola, T.A. Orji and Amaechi to account for their stewardship

This sacred demand of ours is further necessitated by shocking discoveries we made in the course of our recent investigations on the finances of the States in Nigeria; whereby most of the States were found enmeshed in serial borrowings and other indebtedness. Public financial records of the affected States as it concerns local borrowings were also found roguish and distorted. Many of the States under reference were found owing their retired and serving workforces billions of naira. Bauchi State, for instance, owes its workforce about N11billion.
