Biafra supporters in Aba have taken to the street to protest over the comments General Muhammadu Buhari made against Biafra freedom, Aba City reports.

Following the continued detention of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), another round of protest has erupted in Biafra. The protest began at the commercial city of Aba, one of the most prominent cities in Biafra. Kanu is slated to appear before a Nigerian court on Monday 18th January 2016, over phantom charges of terrorism. Various courts in Nigeria have ordered for Kanu's release, however the Nigerian government has adamantly flouted the court orders.
