Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has criticised the slow pace at which the present administration of Muhammadu Buhari is taking to fulfill its promises to Nigerians.

The former president said this in an interview with African Arguments magazine, and stressed that President Buhari had not done enough for Nigerians especially in employment creation for the youth.

The last has not been heard about the ordeal of Mr. Umoh Sunday Etim. Etim was the Customs officer who led the team that arrested former Liberian President, Mr. Charles Taylor, when the former was about sneaking out of the country after being declared wanted by the International Court of Justice over war crimes. Etim and his team later handed Taylor over to the Nigerian government.
Etim who was said to have refused the $450,000 offered to him as bribe in order to allow a smooth passage of Taylor has since been sentenced to prison by the ICJ at The Hague, Netherlands.

The Directorate of the Indigenous People of Biafa (IPOB) has described Nigeria's former president Olusegun Obasanjo as the real miscreants. Reacting to Obasanjo's comments, which described the leaders of the IPOB as miscreants and 419ners looking for money, the Coordinator of Coordinators (COC) of the IPOB,  Dr  Clifford Iroanya, described Obasanjo as being mischievous and lacks the locus to make such statements.
