How Ikwerre, Okrika, Ogoni, Eleme youths grounded Port Harcourt. To shut down oil production
Rivers State capital was practically shut down today. The youths of Rivers State defied heavy military and police shootings to press home their demands.

The massive Biafran protest today at Igwe Ocha (Port Harcourt) was organised by the youths of Ikwerre, Okrika, Ogoni and Eleme in Rivers State.

The  Biafran protesters were demanding the immediate and unconditional release of the leader of Nnamdi Kanu, the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) who also doubles as the director of the Radio Biafra.

According to News at 1pm by Nigeria Info FM92.3 Port Harcourt, most protesters are local indigenous Rivers people and the station even went ahead to air on the spot interviews of them where they clearly said Biafra isn’t about Igbos, that Igbos are one of many ethnic groups in the country of Biafra.

The youths have also threatened to shut down oil production in the state if their demands are not immediately met.
