Hundreds of Biafran women were today attacked by Nigerian soldiers. The women who converged at Abiriba in Abia State for a women's conference were attacked by the soldiers who wanted to disrupt the protest.


According to the women who went to protests at the residence of the monarch of the town after the attack, the Nigerian army stormed the venue of the Biafran women conference in Abiriba with about 15 hilux trucks attacked the women, stripped them naked, fired several shots in the air, and arrested others.

The protest was captured in a video recorded live on Facebook by Chukwuebuka Idoko, where some Biafran women were seen unclad chanting ‘disagreement songs’ in their igbo language.
