Erhabor calls for immediate dissolution of Nigeria. To take Obasanjo to The Hague for Odi and Zaki Biam massacres

Erhabor calls for immediate dissolution of Nigeria. To take Obasanjo to The Hague for Odi and Zaki Biam masacres
There are more calls for the dissolution of Nigeria from various quarters. The latest is coming from Mr Uwa Erhabor, an activist associate of the late Afro musician, Fela Kuti.
Erhabor, an author  yesterday called for the immediate dissolution of Nigeria on grounds that the country as presently constituted is wallowing in massive fraud.

Erhabor who made the call in Abuja while unveiling a biography on Fela, “Kalakuta Diaries,” emphasised that he is not really “averse to the idea of a dissolution of this fraudulent contraption called Nigeria”, especially as most Nigerian leaders seem to be playing into the hands of some foreign manipulators.

Reeling out the legacy of the late Afro music icon, the author lamented that some American businessmen who have never set foot on Nigeria have made money off the music legend, saying Fela, who was a well-known socialist, would be sad in his grave by the activities of such capitalists.

He said the initial launch of his book in Lagos was frustrated by reactionary elements who disguised as “progressives”.

“They claim to be lovers of Fela because it was convenient for them to use the name in recruiting the area boys and area fathers in rigging elections,” he said.

Erhabor also chided the Lagos State government for allegedly expending about $15 million to import a foreign musical jamboree on Fela, in a state filled with starving Nigerians and beggars who never benefited from “the crime of stealing with Fela’s name”.

Erhabor also announced to newsmen that he had launched a campaign to ensure the trial of Nigeria’s former president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, at the Hague.

He said,” Mr Obasanjo should be tried for the massacres in Odi, Bayelsa State, and Zaki Biam while he was in office.”

The author said he had consequently opened a register in conjunction with some of his friends to gather one million signatures of Nigerians which would be forwarded to the International Criminal Court ICC in the Hague to open up investigations into the matter.

“As soon as we get one million signatures, we will go there with a busload of Nigerians and Europeans to compel the ICC to do justice to the thousands of innocent souls that were massacred,” he said.
