Biafra! How Asaba, Agbor, Umunede stood still for Biafra Republic

Biafra! How Asaba, Agbor, Umunede stood still for Biafra Republic
I never gave a thought about MASSOB and IPOB until yesterday. What happened in Asaba made me to think again.

Hitherto,Igbo speaking Deltans distanced themselves from this agitation of south-easterners but Asaba stood still for Biafra yesterday. You can hear the sound of a pin drop yesterday at the biggest market in Asaba called Ogbogonogo.

Most shops were closed and it was not as a result of any announcement from Anwai Road's Delta state's government house but by choice based on solidarity. Economic activities were really affected.

Summit junction was the rallying point of all protesters who came from Agbor,Ogwasiukwu,Umunede,Ibusa,Ogbolu,Illah and beyond. Those who crossed the bridge from Onitsha also fellowshipped with their Delta protesters at the Summit junction.

The identity crisis died as the issue,"Am Agbor but not Igbo"."Am Ibusa but not Igbo","Am Ibo so don't call me Igbo" were laid to the grave for one common agenda which was ,"

Release Nnamdi Kanu". "Give us Biafra". When I got home, the question I kept asking myself till now is........"WHAT DO IGBO's REALLY WANT"? A Sovereign State of Biafra? Or A Nigerian president of Igbo extraction? I will continue with this series next week as i delve into "Who deceived Ndiigbo -Emeka Odionu
