We the indigenous Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) worldwide under the command and leadership of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu wish to commend the caucus of South Eastern Senators and leadership of the Nigerian Senate for standing firm in condemning the prescribing of the peaceful IPOB by the Nigerian government and her judiciary.

The senate president of the federal republic of Nigeria, Dr. Bukola Saraki, Monday condemned the proscription of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), by the south east governors and the Army headquarters categorization of the same group as a terrorist organization, noting that such pronouncement was unconstitutional and peel-off due process.

The South West state Chairmen of the All Progressives Congress (APC), have expressed anger and displeasure over the pattern of appointments by President Muhammadu Buhari, with the obvious ethnic slant.

Aside from Spokesman, Femi Adeshina, every other appointments so far by Buhari have been from the core north, all northern Muslims.

The loss of the Senate Presidency and the Speakership of the Federal House of Representatives by the APC faction of Alhaji Bola Ahmed Tinubu is another chapter in the naivety and misguided priority of the current ruling political class of the Yoruba nation. It would have serious consequences for the fortunes of the Yoruba nation in the foreseeable future. The conscious efforts of Tinubu to cultivate the friendship of the Fulani ruling class for the purposes of wining political power within the Nigerian context would definitely end in disaster and this is just the beginning.

The ruling party on saturday declared Senators Ahmed Lawan from Yobe and George Akume from Benue State to run as the party’s consensus candidates for the office of Senate President and Deputy Senate President respectively in Tuesday’s election at the National Assembly.

The ongoing jostling for the Senate Presidency position is threatening the All Progressive Congress (APC), amidst bribery allegations. The Middlebelt and the North East are currently on a collision course.

According to PointBlank News, the bitter battle between Senate Minority Leader George Akume and Senator Bukola Saraki over who should succeed Senate President David Mark after May 29 may have thrown up Senator Ahmad Lawan. The Yobe-born Senator Lawan is chairman, Senate committee on Public Accounts.
