Buhari and the Nigerian Army walked into a TRAP cleverly set by Biafrans -Dele Momodu

Buhari and the Nigerian Army walked into a TRAP cleverly set by Biafrans

  • I was seriously angry after seeing a video purportedly showing how our soldiers were brutalising fellow Nigerians and subjecting them to the worst indignities known to mankind.
  • I did not see any sign of weapons with these hapless victims of oppression and repression.
  • It was an act of provocation in itself for soldiers to be engaging in drills in an area already soaked with tension
  • The Buhari we supported was not the man who ruled with draconian Decrees from 1983-85 and was forced out of power and his detractors rejoiced openly and widely.

Renowned journalist, CEO and publisher of Ovation International magazine, Dele Momodu has said that the Nigerian Army walked into a trap set by the Indigenous People of  Biafra, by going to Umuahia to try to assassinate Nnamdi Kanu. Momodu who made clear that he is not a supporter of Biafra, in his article PENdulum on Thisday newspapers further said Kanu may be reckless and irresponsible by promoting internecine wars and heating up our country unnecessarily but no one can deny him the right of expressing. Buhari's nepotistic appointments is giving rise to the appallingly lacklustre government - Dele Momodu

Buhari's nepotistic appointments is giving rise to the appallingly lacklustre government - Dele Momodu

Fellow Nigerians, let me start by apologising for my absence on this page last week. I could not believe the torrents of comments on social media and the number of calls from friends and well-wishers from far and near enquiring about my welfare. Everyone was concerned because they know how much dedication and discipline goes into writing a weekly column. Even I sometimes wonder how I’m able to keep a date with you week in and week out.

Nigeria is dangerously haemorrhaging. We must activate Confederation now before we drift into PERDITION - Dele Momodu

Nigeria is dangerously haemorrhaging. We must activate Confederation now before we drift into PERDITION - Dele Momodu
Dele Momodu, a one time presidential aspirant in Nigeria has advocated for the implementation of true federalism in order to save Nigeria from looming violent breakup. "True federalism" is Nigeria's euphemism of confederation, which General Odimegwu Ojukwu, the first Biafran Head of State, had asked for at a meeting in Aburi, Ghana. Failure of the Gowon's junta to implement the Aburi accord subsequently led to the first Biafra-Nigeria war. With the second Biafra-Nigeria war already happening with the aggressors, Nigerian government, killing unarmed Biafrans across Biafran cities, Momodu is asking Buhari to go back to the archives to seek for wisdom to implement this before is it too late.

How Buhari is squandering his second chance to lead Nigeria. Economy suffers, exchange rates hit rooftops - Dele Momodu

Buhari is squandering his second chance to lead Nigeria. Economy suffers, exchange rates hit rooftops - Dele Momodu
Fellow Nigerians, let me start today’s epistle by saying time flies indeed. Over a year ago, the dream of Major General Muhammadu Buhari to return to power, after being toppled in a military coup by Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida and company, was eventually realised after a record fourth attempt. History would record this monumental feat as one of the biggest miracles of our time. It was a testimony to the power of resilience and tenacity.

Sir, people are already saying they would rather have 'corruption' back!! Dele Momodu's Desperate Memo to Buhari

Sir, people are already saying they would rather have 'corruption' back!! Dele Momodu's Desperate Memo to Buhari
Your Excellency, Assalam Alaikum. It has been over six months since you graciously invited me to your office in Abuja. I must note once again that I was truly honoured and humbled by our one-on-one meeting. We spoke and interacted like two old buddies. What was more, I was all alone with you without a third party in the room. We spoke candidly and cracked jokes freely. I remember presenting you with an advance copy of my forthcoming book and you even requested me to autograph it for you which I did with such pride and gratitude in me. We took loads of pictures before and after the meeting. I left you reassured in my belief that Nigeria is in safe hands.

Biafra Crackdown: Nigerian Government is about to pour petrol and explosives into the towering inferno -Dele Momodu

Biafra: Nigerian Government is about to pour petrol and explosives into the towering inferno -Dele Momodu
"The government should have called the bluff of those calling for the State of Biafra by doing what the British government recently did to the Scots in the matter of agitating for an independent Scotland when they allowed the Scottish referendum. "

Fellow Nigerians, the roof is on fire. And the owners of the house should not sleep and snore lest they get badly burnt. Please, let no one treat or dismiss this Biafra controversy as humbug because it is very serious and has the potential of spiralling out of control and snowballing into an unprecedented conflagration of unquenchable propensities. War has never been a tea party.

Your CHANGE is becoming a Mirage! DISILLUSIONED Dele Momodu joins in Buhari-BASHING

You CHANGE is becoming a Mirage! DISILLUSIONED Dele Momodu joins in Buhari-BASHING
General Muhammadu Buhari is fast losing ardent loyalists. Dele Momodu, one of Buhari's supporters has joined other supporters bashing his confused administration. Momodu wrote an acerbic  memo to Buhari asking him to as a matter of urgency fix Nigeria. According to Momodu, Nigerians are lamenting that the change Buhari promised is fast becoming a mirage and that Buhari’s style and methodology appear too slow.

He opined that many (mostly the opposition) want the government to fail saying that they were ‘skillfully setting the president up for failure in order to be able to taunt his supporters.’

The Goodwill is fast fading away - Dele Momodu warns Buhari

The Goodwill is fast fading away - Dele Momodu warns Buhari
Sir, let me say right away that the goodwill garnered during your campaigns and the jubilation that heralded your recent victory are fast fading and you need to, as a matter of urgency, convince the people of Nigeria that you’re now ready to hit the ground running.
