This is the picture of the Biafran nationalists under the aegis of Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB), who have been unlawfully  detained by the Nigeria Government, for protesting peacefully and calling for the release Nnamdi Kanu.

Kanu, a leading Biafran nationalist was unlawfully detained by the Nigerian government since October 2015.

The Biafran nationalist have been in Port Harcourt Prison for over 90 days without trial, but were finally brought to court on 16th of February 2016. However, the counsel representing Nigeria Government did not show up in court. This prompted the trial judge to adjourn the case to 17th February [today], while warning that the court will make a decision, if the counsel of Nigeria Government does not show up in court today.

The offence the Biafran nationalist committed according to the Nigerian government was their daring to exercise their rights to self-determination and demanding for the release of Nnamdi Kanu.

The Biafrans have subjected to all manner of torture and inhuman treatments by Nigerian prison officials. The pictures shows how they were left on the floor of the court house like animals.
