Who bombed Nyanya Park? As Nigerian court strikes out Aminu Ogwuche's terror attack case

Aminu Ogwuche suspected mastermind of the April 14, 2014 Nyanya park bomb attack (middle), leaving the court after the suit against him was struck out by a Federal High Court in Abuja on Monday (NAN).

A Federal High Court in Abuja on Monday shocked millions of 'Nigerians' when it struck out the terrorism charges instituted against Aminu Ogwuche, for masterminding the April 14 bomb attack that killed hundreds of innocent people and injuring thousands, at the Nyanya bus station

The presiding judge, Justice Adeniyi Ademola while striking out the charges filed by the Inspector General of Police cited want of diligent prosecution. It emerged the case had suffered many adjournments due to failure of the police to produce the accused, who had been in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS) since he was repatriated from Sudan to Nigeria.

It appears the owners of Nigeria (the Northern oligarchy) are using 'apparent' inter agency clash between the police and DSS to scuttle the prosecution of Ogwuche. Ogwuche has been linked to top echelons of the Islamic Caliphate in Nigeria. A certain emir in the north who has powerful connections in Sudan was alleged to have used all the muscles he could muster to scuttle the repatriation of Ogwuche back to Nigeria. However, the police and the DSS, had (through their respective lawyers), during court proceedings jostled for the prosecution of the accused persons, with the DSS refusing to produce the accused in court in order to undermine the police and possibly the case.

Justice Ademola apparently frustrated, struck out the suit on Monday, due to the absence of the legal representative of the IGP in court.

“This criminal charge is hereby struck out for want of diligent prosecution by the complainant, Inspector General of Police, and his prosecutor,” the judge ruled.

While The Biafran notes there is still room to remedy this dissapointing situation, by either the police or the DSS filing fresh charges, we would like to know the reason why this first attempt to try this high profile case was bungled by Nigerian security forces.

Why did the police and DSS derelict in their duty?

Were the security forces intimidated not to continue the prosecution of the case?

Were they compromised?

Who is intimidating or compromising them?

Or don't they have enough evidence to prosecute him?

If that is the case, who then masterminded the killing of those innocent people many of where by the way Biafrans?

Or was Aminu Ogwuche released as part of Nigeria's deal with Boko Haram?

Nigerian government has once again failed the innocent. It is glaring that the only language the Nigerian government understands and respect is violence.

Some victims of the Nyanya Bomb attack
Lest we forget, Aminu Ogwuche is accused of killing hundreds of people. He escaped to Sudan as soon as he sensed security forces were after him. It is baffling that after wasting millions of niara and flexing diplomatic muscles with Sudan to insure Ogwuche was brought back to face justice, the demon who dubbed himself 'The Lion of God' and threatened to cut the hands and feet off non-believers while living in Britain is about to slip once again through the hands of justice. He was arrested on November 12, 2011, at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, on his arrival from the United Kingdom for suspected involvement in terrorism-related activities but was released to his father, a colonel in the Nigerian Army on October 15, 2012, following intense pressure from 'human rights activists' (lobbied by his family and friends) who alleged rights’ violation.

Ogwuche, a university drop-out, became more radicalised while studying at the University of Glamorgan from 2007 to 2010. Ogwuche served in the Intelligence Unit of the Nigerian Army at Child Avenue, Arakan Barracks, Lagos, between 2001 and 2006 with service Number 95/104 and is reported to have deserted in 2006. Ogwuche also studied Arabic Language at the International University of Africa, Sudan where Lamido Sanusi Lamido a degree in Sharia and Islamic Studies and became more radicalized.

Another pertinent question to ask is why is there no police and DSS 'jostling for prosecution' when it comes to the prosecution of Biafrans who merely voice out their desire to be free from the Nigeria quagmire? Many MASSOB members have been detained for years across Nigerians prisons without trial for merely marching along the streets with Biafran flags. Recently Biafran Zionists Movement members were arrested and kept in detention for over 4 months without trial for attempting to make a speech of freedom at a radio station in Enugu. But here we are tlking of a man that killed hundreds and about to escape the hand of the law.

For Biafrans who still believe in the Nigerian project, this is a great lesson. The Nigerian Government will not protect you from being massacred by the Islamic hordes. AND THEY WILL NEVER EVER GRANT YOU JUSTICE! Your death will be in vain!!
