The Sudan connection to Boko Haram and Islamisation of Nigeria: How Sudan exports terrorism to Nigeria

The Sudan connection to Boko Haram and Islamisation of Nigeria
Looking for Boko Haram sponsors? The trail starts from Sudan. Then to Chad. Sudan is the linkman between the Islamic Middle East and Africa. The country has been blacklisted as a State Sponsor of terrorism by the United States Department of State. The ultimate goal is the Islamisation of Africa.
Sudan hosted Osama Bin Laden for years from where he trained jihadists and operated for a while before he was chased out by the Americans.
Sudan was instrumental in the introduction of Sharia law in Nigeria. It should be noted that during the time Osama bin Laden was still in Sudan training Islamist Jihadists (1991-1996), some of the current northern elites, including Sanni Yerima, the former governor of Zamfara State, who introduced sharia law in Nigeria, and the former Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) governor and current Emir of Kano, were in Sudan. Sanusi was studying for a degree in Sharia and Islamic Studies from the African International University in Khartoum, Sudan. There is no gainsaying Sanusi must have met Osama bin Laden and probably received some lessons or form of training from his camp, as he quickly demonstrated as soon as he returned to Nigeria, by instigating the beheading of Gideon Akaluka.

Sani Yerima returned and started the Sharia law troubles in Zamfara, which culminated in the deaths of many Biafrans.

A former Nigeria Ambassador and one time Deputy Head of Mission in Sudan, Bola Dada, narrated how he was forced out of Sudan.  "I was chased out of Sudan for knowing and talking too much. . . .The ambassador was an Islamic fundamentalist from Kano. At times, he [Ambassador] would send my reports to the host country [Sudan] which was not allowed in international diplomacy . In fact, he boasted that he was in total control because he was the stenographer to the late Sardauna of Sokoto, Ahmadu Bello. I became a target of the host country. They could have framed me or eliminated me"

Dada narrated in the interview with Punch Newspaper that the embassy was single-handedly opened by the Sardauna with the help of Mohammadu Ribadu and as such is taken as the legacy of the Hausa-Fulani oligarchy. The Nigerian embassy thus was more or less an outpost of the Sudanese government. Dada described how many northern Nigerian youths went through indoctrination and training in various Osama bin Laden's camp in Sudan, without the ambassador reporting it to the Nigerian government.
In fact, Osama Bin Laden’s office in Sudan was just a few blocks away from our embassy. Among his trainees were many Nigerians from the North. They would leave Nigeria as if they were going to study but were at the training camps of Osama Bin Laden
At that time also, Sanni Yerima, former governor of Zamfara State was in Sudan for two weeks and underwent indoctrination. He was exposed to all the training camps of Osama Bin Laden, who was my neighbour. In fact, Osama Bin Laden’s office in Sudan was just a few blocks away from our embassy. No report was made. Our embassy never reported Osama Bin Laden. In addition to having his headquarters in Sudan, Osama Bin Laden also had many firms and industries which he only used as a façade because he was actually using those firms as training camps for Al-Qaeda. Among his trainees were many Nigerians from the North. They would leave Nigeria as if they were going to study but were at the training camps of Osama Bin Laden. I got wind of all these things and told them, but my reports were dismissed. It was a policy of “see nothing, say nothing” because they were working for Muslims.

Recently, Sudan was once again implicated as sponsors of Boko Haram. A political associate of Déby was arrested with missiles meant for Boko Haram. Cameroonian investigative journalist, Bisong Etahoben, reported via his Twitter handle the arrest of Mahamat Bichara Gnoti, a close associate of Chadian President IIdriss Déby Itno.
Mr. Gnoti was reportedly arrested on the Chadian-Sudan border with 19 SAM2 missiles he purchased from the Sudanese army meant for Boko Haram terrorist in northeastern Nigeria.

Mr. Gnoti claimed that President Idriss Déby gave him the funds to purchase the weapons, and had waved a presidential pass issued to him by Mr. Deby’s office in order to get past border guards but was stopped and searched by the guards who found the deadly weapons on him.
