Southerners are marginalised by Buhari – Yoruba elders



Yoruba elders yesterday rose from a meeting in Ibadan, Oyo State capital accusing President Muhammadu Buhari of favouring the northern part of the country above others.

The elders under the aegis of the Yoruba Unity Forum (YUF) at a press conference in Ibadan addressed by Rt. Rev. Emmanuel Bolanle Gbonigi assessed the administration of Buhari and concluded that he has not been fair to the south.

Kwankwaso stood on Yoruba soil to denigrate the nation and their elders and none of them rose up until he left!

The recent secession threat by Yoruba leaders over the kidnapping of a former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Chief Olu Falae, and the perceived lack of true federalism in the nation’s polity may be far from over as a former Governor of Kano State who is presently a Senator, Alhaji Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, asked the leaders to ‘shut up’ on their secession threat.
