You Can’t Understand ISIS If You Don’t Know the History of Wahhabism in Saudi Arabia

BEIRUT — The dramatic arrival of Da’ish (ISIS) on the stage of Iraq has shocked many in the West. Many have been perplexed — and horrified — by its violence and its evident magnetism for Sunni youth. But more than this, they find Saudi Arabia’s ambivalence in the face of this manifestation both troubling and inexplicable, wondering, “Don’t the Saudis understand that ISIS threatens them, too?”

The “guests” are issued key cards for their rooms, receive three catered meals per day and sleep in luxury suites outfitted with big-screen TVs, king-size beds and shiny wallpaper.

They call it the Family House, and it feels like a boutique hotel, if you can overlook the lack of windows, the towering walls outside and the location — inside one of Saudi Arabia’s high-security prisons for jihadists.

Iran has sent a navy destroyer and a warship towards Yemen amidst continued Saudi airstrikes in Yemen, A state-run broadcaster in Iran is reporting that the Islamic Republic has sent a navy destroyer and another vessel to waters near Yemen counter Saudi-led airstrike campaign.

While Iran rejoices its nuclear victory its militants just announced: “the time to liberate Mecca and Medina is soon”
The prophesied final battle between Shiites and Sunni Muslims is drawing closer by the day, especially with the happenings in Yemen and Syria where Iran and Saudi Arabia and Sunni countries are embroiled in a proxy war, and the recently signed Iran's nuclear deal. 

Obviously, Israel is not the only country scared of the prospects of a nuclear Iran. For decades there have been a cold and traditional war between Iran and Saudi Arabia. Both countries propagate different versions of Islam. Saudi Arabia is feeling so highly threatened that it had okay-ed Israel the use of her air space when it wishes to attack.

Britain's former Assistant Chief of the Defence Staff, General Jonathan Shaw, says Qatar and Saudi Arabia are responsible for the spread of radical Islam. General Shaw,a  former commander of British forces in Iraq, stated that Qatar and Saudi Arabia have ignited a "time bomb" by funding the global spread of radical Islam.

Two retired generals and a former defence secretary claimed that nations such as Qatar and Saudi Arabia were helping the rise of violent extremism by channelling cash to terrorist groups such as Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (Isil), which carried out Mr Henning’s murder.
