Babatunde Odunayo, pioneer CEO of Honeywell Flour Mills, says many companies in Nigeria will begin to shut down over the next four to six weeks. In an interview with CNBC Africa, Odunayo said that it was not the best time for anyone to be president of Nigeria, adding that devaluation would be harmful to industry.

Nigerian civil servants to become first casualties of Buhari's change: Plans to forcefully retire workers with 30 Years of service by the end of the year in motion
Nigerian civil servants may become the first victims of Muhammadu Buhari's change as they face mass sack. There are already plans put in motion to forcefully retire workers who have served up to 30 years before the end of 2015. According to Leadership Sunday, this is to pave way for fresh bloods into the system as a way of ensuring maximal output and restructuring of the civil service. However, this may be a move to reduce the workforce in order to cut down on government expenses. And there is no guarantee that new recruitment would be conducted as the government scrounges for money.
