The recent invasion of Kofar Ruwa iron and rod market by chairman of Dala Local Government Council, Alhaji Suleiman Dan Isli is a clear demonstration of active plan of the Hausa-Fulani oligarchy to sabotage Igbo economy and businesses. This move followed series of fire outbreaks that has destruction igbo shops across Kano in the recent months. Igbo traders at the market locked their shops on Friday and ran away for fear of being attacked when Alhaji Suleiman Dan Isli, invaded the market with hundreds of armed bandits in his bid to erect illegal shops in the market.

There is wailing and gnashing of teeth especially among 'Igbos of Northern Nigeria' as midnight fire razed over 4,000 shops at the popular Sabon Gari market in Kano, dominated by Igbo traders. The fire is reported to have destroyed 90% of the market and property worth billions of naira.

One dead as highly-exploited Igbo traders clash with Yoruba touts in Ladipo Market Lagos State
One person was confirmed dead as highly-exploited Igbo traders at the Ladipo Market in the Oshodi area of Lagos, on Thursday protested against continuous extortion by touts under the command of the Lagos State government. Monday Ijoba is alleged to be the head of the touts who continually harass the Igbo traders.
