Exxon Mobil has declared force majeure on a major crude oil producing field in Akwa Ibom. The affected field the Qua Iboe field was shut down after trouble with a pipeline disrupted supplies, three traders said on Friday.

While continuing to take an adamant posture regarding the self-determination of Biafra Republic, General Muhammadu Buhari turns a deaf ear to renewed annexation of villages in Akwa Ibom State. This is an afront to the Nigerian Military, which Cameroonian authorities believe  are weak and beleaguered by Boko Haram terrorists.
The Punch reports that Cameroon has annexed 16 mangrove island villages of Effiat clan in Mbo Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.

Details of Akwa Ibom and Abia states Supreme Court rulings 
The Supreme Court, Wednesday, upheld the outcome of the April 11, 2015, governorship election that brought Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom state to power.

A seven-man panel of Justices of the apex court, in a unanimous judgement, vacated the decision of the Abuja Division of the Court of Appeal which ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to conduct fresh election in the state.

The Biafran has gathered that the unprovoked bombardment of the creeks of Biafra by the Nigerian Air Force Helicopter gunships following orders of the Chief of Air Staff, Air Vice Marshall Adesola Amosu, DailyTrust reports has resulted in the death of over 350 people. Terrorised residents of Ikot Obiokut Akwa Ibom are currently living under fear following the attack by Nigerian Air Force.

Former Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) and a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Maj-Gen Edet Akpan (rtd) has been arrested for alleged electoral offences.
