| Nigerians bracing for Buhari's 2016 AUSTERITY |
The last time the word austerity crept into the Nigerian polity was back in 1983-85, when Dictator Muhammadu Buhari was heading a military junta. Yet again in 2015, Nigerians are bracing for extreme austerity due to Buhari's mismanagement of Nigeria's highly choppy economy.
This was exacerbated by rapidly falling crude oil prices and Buhari's appointment of mediocres to manage the country's economy. The Financial Times recently described Buhari's economic policies as the "height of foolishness!".
