| Buhari goes for the Oil Wells: Replaces Kachikwu with a Huasa/Fulani |
With the date for the renewal of oil licences approaching, General Muhammadu Buhari is clearing any obstacle that may stop him from allocating bulk of the crude oil fields to his kith and kin.
Barely few months after appointing Ibe Kachiukwu as the Group Managing Director of Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), he has announced his replacement with Dr. Maikanti Baru.
Until his appointment, Dr. Baru was the Group Executive Director, Exploration & Production of the NNPC.
This move is coming barely few days after Buhari openly lamented his anguish, when oil producing states claim that the oil belong to them.
