Prof.
Dr. Göran Sluiter, a renowned international human rights lawyer who has been
retained by the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) to file a complaint against the Nigerian President Buhari
before the International Criminal Court (ICC) called in this afternoon on Radio
Biafra.
This happened during
the live update broadcast anchored by the Deputy Director of Radio Biafra Mr
Uche Mefor for the protest happening all over Biafra land against the continued
detention of Nnamdi Kanu and for the restoration of their nation Biafra.
He informed all Biafrans of his resolve to take on the case against Nigeria and Buhari on account of crimes against humanity against the people of Biafra, living in the South of Nigeria.
He went on to assure all Biafrans that he is convinced that there is more than enough evidence to have the ICC Prosecutor conclude that the people of Biafra are the victim of crimes within the jurisdiction of the ICC and that President Buhari plays an essential role in these crimes.
He
pointed out that the situation in Nigeria –including other crimes committed by
Buhari, namely the electoral violence of 2011- has been under preliminary
examination of the ICC for some time now and that the moment has come for the
Prosecutor of the ICC to launch a full criminal investigation.
He
also informed them that he will soon be granted an international interview on
this matter.
