Fear grips Aso Rock as Biafran Protesters storm British Prime Minister's Office. Drops letter of complaint |
Palpable fear has gripped Aso Rock, the Nigerian seat of power, as Biafran protests continue to escalate. Today Biafrans in the United Kingdom stormed #10 Down Street, the office of the British Prime Minister to drop a protest letter against Nigeria. Britain is seen as the godfather of Nigeria, and General Muhammadu Buhari is worried that the UK government is becoming sympathetic to the Biafran cause. Buhari and the Aso Rock Villa have been having series of meeting ever since the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) picked up the Biafran protest story.
The British Media authorities has breached a long-term secret agreement with the Nigerian Government, never to report any event concerning the Secession State of Biafra.
The United States giant media 'YAHOO News' and other media companies has tapped from the BBC to report events from the Biafra secessionist state and their territory. The Western Media Reporters has flooded the zone and reporting events directly. These caused more tension in the Aso Rock Villa.
Millions of Biafrans have been protesting about the continued detention of Nnamdi Kanu, an activist and freedom fighter who supports the secession of the State of Biafra.
Nigerian armed security personnels have been shooting at the Biafran protesters at various South-East and South-South states.
"We won't give up until our director Nnamdi Kanu is released. We are fighting against the "injustice and inequality" Biafrans faced in Nigeria. We have businesses everywhere in the country, but we are getting nothing apart from political and social marginalization. Our lives and properties are not secured; we want to live on our own." said one of the protesters.
